What should I bring to my appointment?
I’ll discuss the specifics with you before you come and meet with me but generally you need to bring a proof of ID (such as a passport or driving license) and proof of address (such as a bank statement, a council tax bill or a utility bill) as well as any relevant documentation. You can send the relevant documents to me in advance via email or WhatsApp - I am happy to accept scans or photographs in first instance.
How much will the services cost?
This will vary depending on exactly what you need. I believe in full honestly and transparency so you will be given an indication of the fee before your appointment.
How long is the appointment likely to be?
I work hard to ensure that our appointments are quick and simple so you’re not waiting around. Appointments can last up to an hour but they usually do not last more than 20 minutes.I will be able to give you a better indication after a quick consultation.
Do you prepare the documents?
Aside from notarial certificates verifying the authenticity of original documents, I don’t prepare documents as part of my services. The documents should either be available online or have been prepared by a lawyer in the jurisdiction in which the document will be used. This is because they need to be prepared by a lawyer who specialises in the law of the country they are intended for.
How do notarise a document?
I talk you through every aspect of the document to establish you totally understand what you’re signing and that you’re signing it of your own volition. I will then sign and seal the document in order to certify it. If the document requires legalisation by an embassy or Foreign & Commonwealth Office, I can arrange this and ensure it is securely delivered.
